Board Self-Assessment Service
A strong board of directors is central to a healthy and well-functioning organization. But how do you assess the strength of your board? Our customized Board Self-Assessment is designed to help your board reflect on what it is doing well, key challenges that are naturally arising, and opportunities for improvement in support of your organization’s mission. Our complete Board Self-Assessment tool (conducted via online survey) includes individual board members’ evaluation of board governance, partnership with the chief executive, strategy, roles and responsibilities, culture, recruitment and retention, communication, meetings, fund development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. After surveying each member of your board, we synthesize the input and report out key themes and findings to spark discussion. In addition to the online survey, this service includes a facilitated board training and survey debrief. The full Board Self-Assessment service is more than a survey tool: it is a collaborative process aimed at inspiring reflection, informing decision-making, and advancing your board and organization’s capacity.
